Read below for the description of the project and to look at the final piece.  Here I am showing the sketches and process.  I had more sketches but my computer was acting strange this morning so this is what I managed to post.

This assignment involved several things of which I found difficult to combine but welcomed the challenge.  It was to be 90% done on the computer, and was to include a fairytale story and address  the green earth efforts. It also had to be very attractive and friendly for young children.  I did accomplish in making the illustration 100% on the computer and enjoyed that.  The combination of fairytale and green earth was made with the story of the tin man in Wizard of OZ, planting new trees with his "tin son" and "tin dog".  The yellow brick road leads us to my depiction of OZ which is over the rainbow.  I hoped this would inspire young ones to think of creating a better world.

Illustration is something that can lead people to think of different things besides the mundane.  Asset International is a magazine published for business people who understands just that. They speak of stock and figures but provide their readers with whimsical and fun pictures.  These illustrations often depict far but somewhat related subjects.  Illustrators provide images for the sections of the magazine entitled "Hot off the Press", "Bells and Whistles" and "Tools of the Trade".  They leave a lot of freedom for the artist to interpret these titles.  Here is what I came up with for all three titles.

More AJC Illustrations

Here are a few more illustrations that I developed for AJC.  Basically these address the medical reforms and current problems we are facing.  The other addresses the housing crisis.
